Our Story
The Blind Pig has been a cornerstone of the Champaign beer scene since the 1990s. Opened originally as a craft beer bar, the Blind Pig started brewing its own beer in 2008, and expanded into its current production facility in 2015. In 2024, Chris Knight, the original owner of the Blind Pig, sold the bars separately from the brewery. The bars were rebranded, leaving current brewery owner Matt Monahan without a taproom to sell Blind Pig beer. Wanting to stay in downtown Champaign and offer a full food menu, Matt opened the Blind Pig Brewpub in July of 2025, in the former Desthil location, at 301 N. Neil St. We're proud to carry on the tradition of serving you "The Beer of Champaign'" along with our wide selection of high quality food options.
